New website creates a buzz

theblueballroom launches new website for biotech company, Oxitec.

Oxitec is dedicated to controlling insects that spread diseases, including dengue fever, and damage crops. Their innovative and groundbreaking technology needed a modern, clearly written and easy-to-navigate website to help visitors to the site understand what Oxitec does and how it aims to deliver its ‘Healthy People, Healthy Environment’ promise. theblueballroom designed and built the new site from scratch, working in close collaboration with the Oxitec team and our technical partner, Redcatco. The new, fresh design opens up Oxitec’s exciting story to potential investors, partners and the general public.

The launch coincided with news coverage about Oxitec on their sterile insect technology which featured on many non-scientific and scientific channels. Oxitec MD Hadyn Parry commented: “From the outset, theblueballroom were professional and great to work with. They produced some inspiring designs and worked hard on building the site, giving us advice on our input along the way. I’m confident that the new site presents us professionally and clearly to our diverse audiences.”
