This is a job I’ve done. It’s a job I love. It’s a job I’m still doing, some of the time. It’s a job that needs bravery, humility, trust, confidence, passion, creativity, calm, leadership and, above all, a listening ear.
As an Account Director with theblueballroom, we hope you’ll travel the world. We’ve ambitious growth plans, starting in Asia and building on relationships we already have around the world. It’s a job where, one moment you might be doing a comms audit for a client in Coventry and the next, rolling up your sleeves and threading lights on to lanterns for an event for a client in Hong Kong. No one day is ever the same; life here is fast-paced and keeping all the plates spinning can be a terrific challenge at times.
There’s no question it can be tough. Late nights and early mornings come with the territory, as do airport meals, sleep loss, communications challenges and changing briefs. But on the flipside, you’d be working with a team who really know their stuff, who care deeply about the work they do and for one another; you’d be eating homemade cake (and hopefully baking some too), enjoying team nights out and the joy of working in Farnham, close enough to the hustle and bustle of London, but surrounded by glorious countryside too.
This is a role that is key to our business; getting the right person in will, no doubt, have an impact on our future. It would involve very close working with me, a future role on the management team and just tons of opportunity.
