After an overwhelming majority vote from the team, we are happy to announce that Phyllis Tuckwell is now our chosen charity of the year in 2016.

Phyllis Tuckwell provides supportive and end of life care for adult patients and families living with a terminal illness, such as cancer, in West Surrey and North East Hampshire. Every day it supports over 250 patients, relatives and carers - in their own homes or at the Hospice in Farnham and at the Beacon Centre in Guildford, through a mix of medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support.

We have already started raising money for the charity through a football sweepstake for Euro16, we are also raising money through a ‘Bag it and Give’ donation, which is under way as I type, and we will be holding a bake sale at our office in Farnham later this year – so watch this space for more details on that soon!

Our MD, Kate, said, “We’re thrilled to be starting this relationship with Phyllis Tuckwell, a charity that is doing amazing things for people living with a terminal illness, and their families. It’s a charity I know personally, having lost loved ones who have been supported by their amazing care towards the end of their life. We really look forward to supporting their admirable work.”

We are all very pleased to support this amazing charity and look forward to helping them in our own way throughout the year.
