I write this 35,000 feet in the sky, flying Cathay Pacific Airlines to Hong Kong. My first visit for 2017, my sixth since we began working with Cathay Pacific, one of the world’s greatest airlines, in the summer of last year.

And what a year 2016 was! Not only did we continue working with all our wonderful clients, we won some new ones, and we truly took theblueballroom global. We hired some new faces, said goodbye to others, celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, pregnancies, travelled to Zurich, Milan, New Orleans, Hong Kong, Cologne, Bonn, Lisbon, Rome, Bratislava, Madrid, Slovenia (to name a few) and of course, we ate lots of cake along the way – always made by our fair hands.

2017 will see us opening an office in Asia, in Hong Kong to be precise, which is what I am flying out to do today. We’ll be speaking at the IABC European Conference in March and the World Conference in Washington in June and we’ll continue to build our reputation as the leading, creative agency we really are. This year, we will also be launching our PRIDE model of engagement, growing our team further, both in the UK and in Asia, and continuing the great work we are doing with our clients, both at home and abroad.

Speaking of growing our team, we have recently hired Ben and David, which has brought more digital and design expertise in-house than we’ve ever had before. We’re also growing our project management team and are currently looking for an Account Exec to help manage some of the exciting work we’re bringing in. Finally, with the amazing team we have in place, I have no doubt that 2017 will be a winning year for theblueballroom.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year from me and the rest of the team – we are ready and raring to go!
