As part of tbbr’s wellbeing plan, a few of us took in a glorious walk in Farnham Park.
The plan is to take ourselves off each Tuesday to breathe in some fresh air, stir our creative juices and, after all the cake we eat in this office, burn some calories!
Today was our first such outing and we couldn’t have chosen a better day weather-wise. The sky was bright blue and the air crisp and oh-so fresh. It wasn’t exactly warm, but for walking it was perfect.
Ben, Shaneen, Nicky and Abbey set off at a brisk pace down the long avenue of beautiful trees that grace the top part of Farnham Park. The fields around us were teeming with other walkers, most of whom had a dog in tow, something we were sadly lacking and hope to resolve for future walks.
Apart from having a break from our desks, it gave us an opportunity to have a catch up about the world around us (and attempt to put it to rights), and also discuss plans to revamp our office space. Had we not uttered a word to each other we still would have felt the benefit. The scenery and tranquillity are hard to beat, making us all so grateful that we have such an amazing park right on our doorstep.
Returning to the office 30 minutes later, we really felt the benefits. Not only had we got the circulation going, but we also felt a sense of achievement, and a feeling of wellbeing – it’s something all companies should advocate!
