Age – content marketing is old, in fact, it is as old as storytelling because it IS storytelling. Content marketing is about sharing information in engaging ways, so it’s nothing new.

Broad – companies now have an increasing number of channels they can use to share information. Social and digital media open up a vast array of ways that a company can share information about itself, from a website, through to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, - the list goes on!

Cheap – because content marketing is shared across channels you already own or are free to use as your own, it is a cost-effective approach to sharing news about yourself.

Delivery – information can be shared as quickly as you can post it. This is great, but it is always worth remembering to think before you act. Whilst it is important to react to opportunities that events create, it is worth taking a breath and thinking through the impact that particular information share, approach or comment will have on your reputation.

Effective – if you are consistent with your messaging and live your values inside and outside your organisation, content marketing is a perfect way to keep your customers, partners, employees and prospects involved with - and loyal to - your brand.
